EIGHTH SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM
At COLD COTES, HARROGATE, HG3 2LW

THE SPEAKERS WILL BE:
EMMA LETHBRIDGE, BSc (Hons), author of Knowing Your Horse: a guide to equine learning, training and behaviour, speaking on Improving the horse-human relationship through understanding equine learning.
DR VERONICA FOWLER (Institute for Animal Health, Guildford), MSc, BSc(Hons), Post Doctoral Research Scientist, speaking on The effects of equine dentists gags on the heart rate of horses.
DR JO HOCKENHULL, speaking on Leisure horse welfare in the UK to include leisure horse management, feeding, equipment and training practices, and risk factors for ridden and stable behaviour problems.
These presentations will be followed by a Brains Trust and Question-and-Answer session, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided on arrival (10.30am) at £2.00 each. Please bring your own packed lunch (hot drinks provided). Alternatively, there are four public houses within four miles. The venue website address is www.coldcotes.com.
The cost of the day is £15 for members and students, £17 for non-members. Please send the full amount in advance on booking: it is non-refundable except in the case of cancellation of the symposium. The event is open to everyone so please bring your friends for what is sure to be a fascinating day.
